St. Paul's Takes Treats to the Streets for Halloween!!

For the past several years, the Navasota Police Department has hosted "Treats on the Streets". It promotes a safe environment on Halloween for Trick or Treats of all ages. The event started promptly at 6 p.m. Candy was handed out by local businesses, civic clubs, churches and other organizations that had booths set up along Holland Street, behind the Municipal Building.
This year's event attracted approximately 2,000+ people, and  St. Paul's participated again this year.
It was a group effort as members of St. Paul's started preparing for the event a full month ahead of time.  We packed 1,000 little snack baggies with candy, and each bag of candy contained a child's Halloween prayer and information about St. Paul's.
Unlike last year, when we had a little candy left at the end; this year we did run out.  St. Paul's has started a trend at Treat on the Streets, as this year there was at least one to two other churches that participated as well.  Everyone had a wonderful time giving candy to the trick or treaters, and seeing all of the colorful and creative costumes worn by the children. We can't wait to do it again next year!
